Silverwood HOA Meeting Notes June 15, 2013
The meeting was called to order by President Stewart Vaughn at 10:00 am. Members present were: Stewart Vaughn, Don Martin, Van Peters, Jake Lafarney. Steve Crosslin, Nathan Paul, and Stephanie O’Connell were present as members elect.
Stewart introduced current and future members and then proceeded with the agenda.
The Fence along 111th construction is complete. Staining and weather proofing is scheduled to start the week of June 17, 2013.
The Board has requested bids from 11 landscaping-lawn companies, 4 companies replied with bids. After careful consideration the Board voted to award the contract to New Look Landscaping. The contract will be from July 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014. Steve Crosslin is the Committee head for the Landscaping.
New Look Landscaping is also going to take care of our sprinkler issues. Because of the sprinkler issues we may have little to no color for the summer. It is getting too hot to plant much. Once the sprinkler issue is resolved the board will address the planting issue.
Also discussed at this meeting was a need for new fencing at the pool. It was voted on and passed to have the fencing replaced by the same Co. who did the work on 111th.
At the time of the meeting there were 24 residents that had not yet paid their HOA fees.
Don Martin gave a verbal Treasurers report. There is $24,000 in savings, $31,000 in checking. We have annual expenses of approximately $40,000. The Fence along 111th cost $16,000.
New Members were proposed and seconded. It was a unanimous vote to accept the new Board members as follows:
President- Van Peters
Vice President- Jake Laferney- Special Projects
Treasurer- Don Martin
Secretary- Stephanie O’Connell
Member at Large- Steve Crosslin- Landscaper
Member at Large- Nathan Paul- Maintenance
Stewart adjourned the meeting at 11:10 a.m.
